 Glenn Burnett is a Captain in the Virginia Beach Fire Department. Glenn attended the VBFD Volunteer Recruit class in 1993 and was hired in July of 1996. In 2006 he was promoted to Captain. Glenn has previously served on the Virginia Beach Fire Department Technical Rescue Team and is currently a member of the VBFD Hazardous Materials Team. Glenn is also a Rescue Squad Officer for Virginia Task Force 2 and been deployed to several natural and man-made disasters to conduct search and rescue operations.

Glenn joined the US Navy in 1982. He was assigned to Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron 12 at NAS Norfolk, VA.

Glenn met his wife Donatella and stepson Michael in 1986 in Virginia Beach, VA. They have been married for 30 years and made Virginia Beach their home. Glenn’s stepson Michael now resides in San Antonio, TX.
