Chuck is a Spokane firefighter/paramedic and has been with the department for three years. Born outside Seattle, Chuck joined the Air Force firefighter after high school. Chuck SOTF because he has seen firsthand the impact having a support network following a burn injury can have on someone. Chuck was on his final month of probation as a fire fighter when he suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns while pulling someone out of fire. He was flown to a burn center and had to receive a skin graft on his left shoulder. It was during this time he found how close the firefighter brotherhood is, there wasn’t a moment when he didn’t have a brother or sister by his side helping him though. SOTF shares the same mission Chuck has of being there for each other, for both the physical and mental healing.
