Thank you for all who attended the ABA State and Future of Burn Science meeting in New Orleans and a special thank you to our sponsors who helped make this event possible! It was a great success with over 100 attendees discussing 12 different research-based topics ranging from wound coverage, infection and shock to aftercare, exercise in burn patient rehabilitation and neuropsychological considerations.

After viewing brief overview presentations for the various topics, meeting participants split up into smaller sessions to discuss the gaps in knowledge and formulate ideas for future research initiatives. At the end of the meeting, a representative from each topic group gave a short summary presentation outlining the highlights of each discussion and actions items.

The meeting participants were very happy to meet in-person and work collaboratively towards ultimately improving burn care.
